My husband and I have been together for many years, raised wonderful children, and finally decided to officially seal our union with a wedding ceremony in an Orthodox church on my ancestral homeland, Santorini. For me, a Greek woman who grew up in Australia, this was a return to my roots. For my British husband, it was a discovery of the beauty and depth of Orthodox traditions.
We are immensely grateful to the photographers for their professionalism and sensitivity! They managed to capture not just the ceremony itself, but the entire depth of this moment - our emotions, our grown children's tears of joy, the majesty of the ancient church against the backdrop of the endless sea. We were especially touched by how delicately they worked during the sacrament itself, never distracting us, yet not missing a single important moment. Every glance, every touch, the play of light through the windows - everything was conveyed with such love and mastery! The photographs turned out alive, filled with light and warmth. When we look at them now back in Australia, we are transported once again to that blessed day in Santorini.
